St. George

Last Thursday we headed down to St. George for the weekend. My hubby and Father-in-Law had a conference that they were attending so my Mother-in-law, Little A, and I tagged along. On the way down and home Little A did really well in the car. Thanks to my sister he had movies to watch. What did our parents do with us in the car before all this electronic stuff came out.
While we were down there we had a great time shopping, eating good food, swimming, being with friends, and relaxing. On Friday night we were able to meet my up with some of our friends that live down there. Their little girl and Little A had a great time saying good bye to each other.
On Saturday night after dinner we took Little A swimming at the hotel. He loves swimming but our swim was cut short because the pool was not too clean. After we went back to our room and bathed him he was in the funnest mood. He started to pose and tell us all these different stories of course in his own language. The worst part was coming home to the snow after spending 4 days in 70 degree weather.

Slide Time

Today the weather was so nice that we decided that it was time to pull out the side and play area that my sister Kim passed down to us. I love hand me downs. My family is so great thier kids are getting older and they are passing way fun things down to us. At first Andrew was not sure what to do first but when we sat him up on the top he wanted to go down the slide. The first time My hubby held his arm and the second time he did not want either of us to help him he wanted to do it all by himself.
We decided that he would have fun playing under it too so we helped him under and he loved it. We did not get any picture because the camera battery died. I thik that I am in trouble this summer because Little A is already standing at the door waving bye, bye, wanting to go out side. He had learned how to throw this small fit so when I tell him we are not going out he lays on teh floor and fake crys for like 10 seconds and then hops up and move on. I think that it is so funny, I may change my mind if they start to get longer and louder.
I love this nice weather, lets hope the weather man is wrong and it will not SNOW on Monday.

Green, Green, Green and messey little Boy.

Yesterday we had a great day. I love different holidays that make it so we are able to get to do something different. When I headed to Little A closet to see what he was going to wear that was green this was his only shirt and yes if it looks familiar it is a 6 month old shirt that he wore last summer and it still fits great. I love how excited Little A. get even though he does not understand the holiday he can feel the excitement in the air.
That night we had spaghetti for dinner. I decided to let Little A feed him self. Knowing that it was going to be a big mess I took all his clothes off first. He loved it. I did not have the camera in the kitchen the whole time and I missed one of the cutest moments when he would put the bowl up to he face and try to lick the food out, just like a puppy.
These picture were taken a few days ago but I forgot to post them. He was either trying to type something or see himself on the screen.

4th Wedding Anniversary

We forgot to take our camera with us but we headed down to SLC this weekend to celebrate our wedding ann. Our real ann was on Thursday and we went to eat a Copper Mill and exchanged gifts. This weekend we enjoyed dinners out, time as a couple (with no Little A., thanks mom and Kim), and did a lot of research shopping for home biulding stuff. We had a great weekend and were able to accomplish a lot and get some get ideas for our house. Speaking of our house we just got our plans back and are thinking that we will be breaking ground with the next few weeks. I will keep you updated through out the process.
I am not going to wirte a whole big sappy thing about my hubby, but I know he reads this so I just want to tell him and I LOVE him and thanks for the great weekend!

Hot Pads and Dish Cloths

I missed the moment but the first picture shows him getting up. When I walked into the kitchen this morning Little A had pulled out hot pads and dish cloths and was laying on them sucking his binky. It was so cute and kind of sad. When I walked in and he sat up he just decided to play with all the stuff he had pulled out.

Finding Binky

Today we were getting ready to go to a wedding reception for the son of one of the teachers I work with and Little A was in his room while we were getting ready. When I walked in there to get him and get him ready I found him under his crib. I was not sure why he had climbed under there but after he came out I knew. He was proudly holding a Binky that I could not find. I am not sure how he could see it because I had looked under there for it and did not see it. I love how determined he is when he sets his mind to something.

M&M, Homework, and Mush!

Today Little A was able to try M&Ms for the first time. At first he was not sure about them. As soon as I broke one in half he was then sold on them. He was so excited. Here are some pictures of the experiences.
This picture is more for my sister. Today I had my nephew at my house. My sister is out of town and so I was helping out for a few hours. I had him do he homework while he was at my house. Now my sister knows that it got done. I thought that it was so cute when Little A woke up from his nap all he wanted to do was watch his cousin do he homework.
Tonight Little A had his last meal of mush (baby cereal). Tomorrow we are going to introduce him to the big people oatmeal. I will let you know how it goes.
Just a little up date. Today Little A. and I stayed home and I keep him on his medicines all day and he is feeling a lot better.

1 year check up

Ok I know that it has been a week or so since Little A turned 1 but today we had he check up. Above is a picture of the cute little card that we get at every well check. I love that I can compare his foot prints from birth to now. Today apt. had to reasons one was for his check up and the other was because he was sick. I was sure that they would tell me that it is just a cold and it has to run it's course but I was wrong. Poor Little A. has an ear infection. So now he has medicine which he hates. I remember being a little girl and loving that pink stuff. I was tempted to taste it. So just by looking at Little A. you can tell that he is little so here are his stats:
Weight 19 lbs. 0.5 oz. = 8th percentile (he does not take after his mom in this area)
Height 28 3/4 inches = 25th percentile (he does take after his mom in this area)
They don't write down on my stuff his head so I can not remember the measurements but it was in the 10 percentile.
I was worried about his size and the doctor reassured me by telling that he went for 5 percentile to 8 in weight which is almost double and from 10 to 25 percentile in height which is over double.
To help his weight increase he told me to give him Boost, Carnation, or Slim Fast just one more thing to prove we come and leave this world a lot the same. These are the same drinks that they were trying to get my Grandma to drink when she was ill and was about to die. Over all Little A it right on with his development in all areas.

Mohawk and Bump

Tonight after bath I was looking Little A. hair and he really has quit a bit it is just so blond that you can not see it. So I decided to make it into a Mohawk so you could all see it. I decided that I document Little A. big bump. At my mom and dad's house on Sunday Little A. fell and hit his head on the corner of a toy and now he has a goose egg, bruise, and a scrape. Right now he is sick too so, it is sad. I love how he is sticking out his tong in the one picture and how you can see his two cute teeth in the other.
