What a Mess!

This is what my living room looked like before Little A went to bed. He was grumpy and it seems that when he is cross I tend to let him make a bigger mess and get away with it. At the same time looking at this mess made me think, I can not wait until our house is build and I have a play room so all those toys are not on my living room floor. The good thing about it is that toys pick up fast. I think I cleaned it all up in under 5 minutes. I love his look in the top picture is like "haha mom I making a mess". Then in the bottom picture it is like "what I did not do it".

I am a pro walker now.

This video was taken yesterday at Little A party but, I did not upload it last night. In the last few days Little A has really taken off with walking. I think that he walks more than he crawls now. He thinks he is so cool he keeps passing up all the people willing to give him a break. I think he ended up going for a puzzle. Yes he keeps his arm up in the air about 90% of the time. It must be how he keeps his balance. Sorry about my loud voice, I forget that I am right by the mic on the camera.

Happy Birthday Little A!!!

Wow all I can say is time really does fly. I can not believe that my baby is already one. What an amazing year this past year has been for our whole family. It is amazing to think that you can love a child as much as we do. Little A has taught me so many things in this past year I can not wait to see what I am going to get to learn from him in the years to come. Below is picture from his birth till 5 months one for each time I love lining them up like this and seeing how he has grown but at the same time it is hard to remember that he was once that little.
Below are the pictures for 6months till 11 months. I love to see the changes and advancements that he has made.
On to the birthday celebrations. I love the different faces Little A pulls when he get excited for something and when the camera comes out. Little A has already gained a love for syrup just like his mother. So for breakfast we made him Micky Mouse shaped pancakes. He ate them like a champ. He thought he was so big trying to use his spoon. It did not take him long to figure out that his figures were a lot faster.
Tonight we had a party to celebrate Little A birthday with our families (thanks mom for letting us use your house). All of our siblings live in the valley and we have some close cousins that we invited to come too. All together there were over 40 yes 40 people there to celebrate with Little A. Little A cousin T and J helped set the tables. T had learned a fun way to fold the napkin so that you can place the fork and knife in it and she folded a napkin for every place setting. Little A loves food as you can tell as he is eating Lasagna (one of his fav.)
I got a kick out of the three faces on the top of this picture block. My bother said that his picture better make the blog so I had to make sure that it was on there. The bottom 2 are group picture of some of the people that were there. Thanks Everyone!
After we ate we decided to open the gifts before the whole cake thing. Let's just say that Little A will not need another toy for a few years. Everyone gave him such nice and cute things. His parents were the boring ones we gave him a car seat. All of the cousins were great helpers. We would still be sitting there if Little A had to open all of them himself.
Grandma W. gave him a fire truck that he can walk behind and ride on I think that he will love riding around and it will help him with his walking too.
Albertson's will make and give to you free a first birthday cake if you have their card. So Little A dug into a way cut cake. He was so funny he picked at all the the swirls first and then decided that he could eat some of it. I am not sure how much cake he got but I know that he got a whole lot of frosting. We did not catch it but at one time he tried to lick off one of the swirls. He was such a mess. About half way though my Grandma was telling me to stop him or he was going to be sick.
Here are some pictures of the clean up. We decided that it would work best to just put him in the tub and after he was clean I just dumped the chair in there to. I do not think that onies will come clean but that is okay.
Little A is now is a big boy seat facing forward. Lets just say the whole way home from my parents house he was laughing and thinking he was cool.
I just want to thank everyone who has shown love to us in this past year. We have grown so much as a family and I can see the love and trust the lord has in us to raise one of his loved children.
Sorry, this was such a long post but I did not want to forget or leave out anything.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE A!!!

Awesome Ski Day!

Today My hubby and I headed up to Beaver Mt. for a wonderful day of skiing. Not only was the weather awesome but we were there with all my bothers and sisters. We were talking and we think that is the first time we have all been skiing together since we were kids. This was also the first time that my hubby and I have been skiing together since we were married (which has almost been 4 years if that tells you how long it has been since I have gone skiing). I found out fast that I am not the best skier in my family but that does not matter we still had fun. I also found out that I am way out of shape and my body can not ski like it did when I was 16.
I love having great parents they watched Little A and 2 of the younger cousins while the adults and older cousins were skiing. They went to Mc D's and rode grandpa's horses. He had some much fun he fell asleep on the way home from playing so hard and his outfit had evidence of all the fun too.
This is a picture that I just had to add. Yesterday my hubby was feeding Little A and when I walked into the living room this is what I saw. Both of the boys in my life lounging, eating and watching the TV (I think they were watching a hunting or fishing show).

Side note: You do have to read this but I just needed to write about how I am feeling. Tomorrow my little A turns 1. Tonight when I was laying him down to go to bed I was think that it was about that same time one year ago that my hubby and I were calling our families to tell that that we were headed up to the hospital. Many memories and emotions of that night and next morning came flushing back. What a wonderful blessing he is to us and I can not believe that we ever functioned with out him but at the same time I can not believe that it has been a year. Tomorrow I will post all about the big day.

Treehouse Museum

My sisters, mom, and I took all the kids down to Ogden to the Treehouse Museum. I had never been there and I was way excited, but worried wondering what Little A would be able to do. While for the first 20 minutes no matter where I would take him he would find his way back to the fire truck. He had so much fun we played for over 2 1/2 hours and Little A just keep going all the time. I was amazed how all the kids stayed entertained for the whole time.
Little A love riding the horse I hope that he will love that his whole life. He even let me dress him up as a fish. There was so many fin things I thought I took a lot of pictures but looking back I missed a lot of what he did. If you have never been there I would recommend it.
At the end right before we left we gathered all the kids to take a picture by the school with Grandma since she is a teacher. You will have to forgive the kids expressions they were all hungry and tired. The three oldest had a sleep over the night before and woke up a 5am.
Thanks everyone for letting Little A tag along. All the cousins help him around sometime or another.

Happy V-day!

I hope that everyone had a great V-day. Ours was full of fun and snow. That morning I got up and made heart shape Waffles. I did not even use the box mix I made them from my cousin's recipe. Little A loves waffles so I skipped mush and just let him eat waffles. He ate almost a half on one. I loved how excited he was with every bite.
That morning while Little A was napping (thanks everyone for your advice), I finished making our V-day treat. My hubby being the great guy he is was helping a lady move out of our ward. Any way I saw this idea in the Family Fun magazine and thought I could do it. I was worried because last time I tried fudge it was grainy. This time is turned out I was so excited. So it is a 2 layer fudge the first layer is dark chocolate and the second is white chocolate. Then on top of each little bite size piece is a conversation heart. As you can see in the picture of the fudge before it was cut both my hubby and I were placing the hearts and we were not lined up. It was okay because it made it so there were a few bites for me!
That evening my wonderful Husband and Little A made me dinner. Oh yea as you can see in the back of the picture he also got me roses and my fav. chocolate. We has chicken cordon blue, rice and Veggies. We had some sparkling cider that we got for Christmas so we had it with our dinner. As you can see it was bubbling over. At the end he did the dishes too. Thanks babe it was great.
After Dinner we gave Little A his gift. We did not get him much because he did not need another stuff animal or toy. So we got him a box of chocolates that had Winnie the Pooh on it. That is one of his fav. shows on TV right now. Last night he was climbing in his car seat and making is rock back and forth it was so funny because he thought he was so cool.
Happy V-day Everyone!
This is just a random picture I took a on Friday. I had let the room for just a few seconds and when I can back he was sitting on the basket playing with his toys. It would have been to easy to have just pulled them down on the floor.
